“I have watched recently the film «Melancholia» from director Lars von Trier and this film is following me since i’ve watched it, daily.. The color green, The circle, The earth, The new land, The ground where we all live, The urge to take care of mother earth, all these themes will be reunite in this rug… The urge to “go green” and “act green”, To go back to nature and to cultivate our own seeds, This planet that let us live in her womb…
I’m also being inspired by the painting “Les Nympheas” from Monet: the combinations and
associations of colors like deep purple, tender lilac and vibrants greens flowing in the
composition creating a musical chore..
With time, I surprise myself trying to use less “effects” in my art work; Simplicity is at high cost..This art rug is offering only 4 colors and I hope it will sing a deep melody with little means (ressources).
