This former farmhouse has been renovated with a focus on preserving its original character while adapting it to modern living. Main historic elements, such as the old doors, floors, and white-and-blue tiles, have been retained and seamlessly integrated into a new architectural vision that balances heritage with contemporary design.
The approach extended beyond preservation, curating the spatial flow and atmosphere through careful details. The original tiles, a green sink inherited from the owner’s grandmother, a floral fabric sourced from an Austrian market, and a bright red Mezzadro stool by Castiglioni serve as anchor points in a colorful composition that bridges the home’s history with a fresh, lived-in character.
Key architectural interventions, including a sculptural central kitchen island and a curved upstairs shower room, redefine the interiors, creating spaces that are both functional and distinctive. These additions complement the original structure, bringing the farmhouse firmly into the present while honoring its past.
