CROISSANT
The ambitious restoration of an early 20th-century industrial building, located in the bustling heart of the city aimed to transform the space into a modern, efficient workshop for the renowned laser cutting company, Artem Prod. The challenge was to integrate the park of production machines and the workshops of the craftsmen into a 900 m2 area, with a focus on functionality and internal flow to optimize the company’s production. The resulting renovation beautifully blends the building’s historical significance with contemporary design and state-of-the-art technology.
With a keen eye for detail, the architecture highlights the rhythm of the walk between the different functions, taking inspiration from the original post-beam structure. The challenge was to position and size the box machines in a way that optimizes the flow on the scale of the building, resulting in a seamless and efficient workspace.
Built-in the early 20th century, the building boasts a beautiful urban facade and is included in the heritage inventory, adding to its historical significance. Today, the building stands as a testament to the dedication and hard work of the design team, who have transformed it into a bustling hub of activity.
Stepping inside, one is immediately struck by the vibrant ener¬gy and the sense of purpose that permeates every corner of the space. The craftsmen work in harmony with the park of production machines, creating an anthill of activity that is a true joy to witness.
This renovation exemplifies the potential of adaptive reuse to create effi¬cient and productive workspaces while preserving historical structures.
