ATE VAN APELDOORN PAIR OF STOOLS NETHERLANDS - 1970'S

Vintage pair of stools designed by Ate van Apeldoorn for Houtwerk Hattem in the 1970’s. The stool is made of solid pine wood and has a leather seat that is knotted at the bottom. The leather presents a beautiful patina. Ate van Apeldoorn was a Dutch designer and furniture maker. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Arnhem and began his career working for the architectural firm Van den Broek & Bakema.
