GAE AULENTI "LOCUS SOLUS" ARMCHAIR AND POUF ITALY - 1964

Gae Aulenti was an Italian architect and designer who gained international acclaim for her versatile and innovative work. She is particularly renowned for her architectural projects, which include the renovation of the Musée d’Orsay in Paris, where she transormed an historic railway station into a world-class art museum. Her architectural designs often embraced a modernist aesthetic with a focus on functionality and adaptability.

The Locus Solus outdoor armchair, the result of a collaboration between Exteta and Jacquemus, embodies the successful alliance between the timeless design of Gae Aulenti and the contemporary creativity brought by Simon Porte Jacquemus through the creation of the upholstery fabrics: beige and yellow Como stripes. The chair had its tubular steel frame laquered in white by our belgian artisans.
