“KILIN” LOUNGE CHAIR

Lounge chair designed by Brazilian architect Sergio Rodrigues in the 1970’s. The design of the ‘Kilin’ armchair, evident of Sergio Rodrigues’ signature forms and materials, consists of a wood frame and leather sling slipcover that are assembled by dowels and pins. With its name derived from an abbreviated version of Rodrigues’ tender nickname for his wife, ‘esquilinho’ (or ‘small squirrel’), the «Kilin» is a straight forward and versatile armchair that quickly became a Brazilian design classic and bears a little of Rodrigues’ personal history within it.
