ROBIN & LUCIENNE DAY BY HILLE «661D» CHAIR UNITED KINGDOM - 1950s
These chairs were designed by the English designer couple Robin and Lucienne Day and edited by Hille for the Royal Festival Hall in 1950. These chairs are part of a rare series produced especially for the orchestra of this famous London hall, a light and visible thinness allowing artist dressed in formal wear to be able to sit easily. These chairs are composed of a tubular base in black metal, a wooden and foam seat covered with a white fabric, and an ash back fixed with brass screws.
